Vienna - Cup - Porcelain, Gold plated

Elegant litron cup with its matching saucer, in white porcelain enhanced by a rich gold decoration.

The set is attributed to the Vienna manufacture, the first half of the 19th century, around 1800–1830. The cup and saucer bear under their base a blue-painted mark that may correspond to the shield.

The decoration, executed in both matte and glossy gold, consists of winged caducei, stylized botanical motifs, and geometric ornaments. The cup has a cylindrical form known as a “litron,” with an elegant angular gilded handle. The saucer is adorned in its center with a rosette surrounded by a gilded ring.

Condition: antique state in line with the photographs: wear and rubbing of the gilding, small signs of use and a small chip visible on the edge of the saucer. To be examined closely in the many photographs, which are an integral part of the description
