Rare antique walking cane from the period 1900-1910. It is made of wood with a horn knob and a copper ring underneath. The knob consists of a carved horn handle in the shape of a beautiful greyhound head. The greyhound head is truly stunning with a wonderful expression; it has its original glass eyes and nicely carved folds of skin in the neck. This piece is not often encountered.

This lot has been carefully cleaned and will be carefully packaged, registered and insured for shipment (with a Track & Trace code so you can follow the shipment). Pickup in Ridderkerk, South Holland, is also possible.

Hij is van hout met een knop van hoorn met daaronder een ring van koper.
De knop bestaat uit een handvat van gesneden hoorn in de vorm van een prachtige greyhound hondenkop.
De hondenkop is werkelijk schitterend met een prachtige uitdrukking; hij heeft zijn originele glazen ogen en fraai gesneden huidplooien in de nek.
Deze uitvoering kom je niet vaak tegen.
