Barend Brouwer (1872, Diepenveen – 1936, Voorburg), also known as Berend Jan Brouwer, was a Dutch painter (active from 1887 to 1936). He was a pupil of Bartus Korteling in Deventer. Afterwards he studied at the Drawing Academy in Antwerp and for two years he undertook training at the Academy in The Hague
