Two vintage Givenchy 4G cufflink sets in silver- and gold-tone metal, complete with an original Givenchy box and Monsieur Givenchy tag.

Founded in Paris in 1952, Givenchy later expanded into menswear with the launch of its dedicated men’s line in 1969. The geometric 4G emblem became one of the maison’s most recognisable design codes and was frequently incorporated into its jewellery and gentleman’s accessories.

This lot comprises two distinctive pairs of vintage Givenchy cufflinks, both combining silver- and gold-tone finishes. Although their shapes differ, the prominent 4G motifs and restrained two-tone styling give them a complementary appearance. The round pair is accompanied by its original Givenchy presentation box, while the rectangular pair retains its original Monsieur Givenchy tag.

Condition

Both pairs are preserved in very good vintage condition.

The round cufflinks display light surface marks and minor signs of age, primarily visible on the polished reverse and fastening components. The silver- and gold-tone decorative surfaces remain attractive, and the raised 4G emblems are well defined. Their original Givenchy box is included and shows some age-related wear and discolouration to the interior and exterior fabric.

The rectangular cufflinks remain in particularly well-preserved condition and retain their original Monsieur Givenchy tag. They appear to have received very little, if any, wear, although minor storage and handling marks may be present. The contrasting finishes and black detailing remain crisp. Their accompanying purple presentation box is not original to the cufflinks and shows visible wear consistent with age.
