"The Icon´s of Art series" is conceived as an homage to the great names and motifs of international art history. They are mixed together, reinterpreted, and thereby rediscovered and made visible for a new generation. This selection follows central positions of contemporary urban- and street art, including internationally established artists such as KAWS, Takashi Murakami, Banksy, Shepard Fairey, Invader, Keith Haring, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Futura, JR and Mr. Brainwash, whose works shape the interface between street art, pop culture and modern art.
Biography
The girl from Neukölln dares a restart with a new Berlin crew.
Already as a child she is more than excited by the street art in her surroundings and begins spraying on the streets of Berlin at an early age. Inspired by her surroundings, she studied painting at the University of the Arts Berlin but left the program prematurely and went to Paris. Back in Berlin, her academic career now manifests in her motifs. It are now series with and after great role models from art history planned and begun.
