In this series, characters from the worlds of video games, cartoons and manga become an integral part of the wall. They are not simply depicted on the surface: they play, interact, and live directly within it, transforming the wall itself into part of the artwork and the scene.
An extension of Broken Wall, where image, matter, and space become one.
The framed photos are only an example of how the artist suggests displaying the work; the frame is not included in the sale. Only the artwork will be shipped.
Technique: Spray stencil and mixed media on materials recovered from the street, chosen to preserve the identity and authenticity of the street art language.

Broken Wall
Broken Wall stems from Mart Signed’s exploration of the relationship between street art, matter, and urban memory.
The project brings a fragment of street language inside homes, galleries, and private collections, transforming a surface marked by time into a contemporary artwork.
The wall is not only the support for the image, but becomes an integral part of the work.
Its surface, the fractures, the traces of time, and the natural characteristics of the material preserve the link with the urban context from which street art originates.
The fracture thus becomes an element of the artistic language: the boundary between the street and the exhibition space is broken and the urban fragment finds a new place.

Materials and authenticity
The materials recovered from the street are chosen to maintain the living connection with the original street art language.
Marks, abrasions, variations in the surface, irregularities, and natural imperfections are not defects but elements belonging to the history of the material and to the identity of the work.
These characteristics are deliberately preserved and integrated into the creative process.
The work is signed, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist, and delivered ready to hang.
The frame is not included unless otherwise indicated for the specific exemplar.

The journey of the work can continue even after purchase.
Collectors can share their work on Instagram by tagging @martsigned and using the hashtag #MartSigned.
Works properly tagged may be reposted by the artist through his channels, showing the different destinations reached by the works and creating a direct connection between artist, collector, and audience. Participation is optional and independent of the purchase of the work. Any modalities and conditions are communicated through the artist’s official channels.

The Artist
Mart Signed is an Italian street artist active internationally.
His works are part of private collections in numerous countries, and his artistic research revolves around the concept “Where Are You Street Art?”: bringing the language and material of the street into homes, galleries, private collections, and spaces traditionally distant from the urban context.
Over the years Mart Signed has developed his international presence through collaborations and relationships with various art-world entities.
His research relates street art, urban memory, recovered materials, and the transformation of space.
In 2023 Mart Signed also participated in a documentary devoted to Banksy and the street-art culture.

Shipping
The work is shipped via specialized couriers managed by Mail Boxes Etc.
Each piece is carefully packaged, protected, and insured, with particular care given to the most delicate parts and to the irregular shape of the support.
The shipment includes complete tracking from departure to delivery.

Edition and uniqueness
Broken Wall comprises a limited series of 20 unique works.
Each piece is created individually and no exemplar can be identical to another. The shape of the support, the fracture, the surface, the marks, the imperfections, and the material characteristics naturally change from one piece to another, making each piece irrepeatable.
The 20 works share the same artistic project and the same conceptual core, but each retains its own physical and visual identity.
So they are not 20 copies or reproductions of the same work, but 20 unique and different pieces, all belonging to the Broken Wall series.
Each artwork is identified by a specific code reported on the certificate of authenticity.
