Baron de Reiffenberg - Recueil Héraldique et Historique des Familles nobles de Belgique - 1845

Rare genealogical heraldic work on Belgian noble families, compiled by Baron Frédéric de Reiffenberg (1795–1850), historian and librarian of the Royal Library in Brussels.
Collation: XVI, 240 pp., with at the end XVI numbered plates (coats of arms, castles, tomb monuments).
The book is a source for genealogical research into old South-Nederlandish noble families, including those from Artois, Brabant and Flanders.

Half-leather, marbled binding in good condition with a richly decorated title page. The plates at the back show foxing but are otherwise in good condition and printed on sturdy paper. On the spine of the front board is an ex libris (Kervyn de Volkaersbeke). On the blank front page is a handwritten French note about the completeness of the work.
