Tancredi Fornasetti was born in Rome in 1983, where he still lives and works. Graduated in Decoration from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma under the guidance of Professor Michele Cossyro, from his early days he developed a strongly personal painting language that intertwines geometry, architecture, and a deep sensitivity to color.

His work sits within the wide horizon of Abstract Art, but renews its coordinates with a contemporary and visionary approach. In his works, lines and planes multiply into perspectives and complex structures that evoke imaginary urban spaces, impossible architectures, and metaphysical geometries. The artist draws on both the rationalism of the 1930s and the lesson of De Chirico, filtering both through a sensibility marked by digital experience and the visual culture of our time.

Fonasetti’s painting is not limited to description: it elaborates and transforms. References to art history—from Mondrian to Kandinsky, from Malevich to Soldati—fuse with the suggestions of cinema, scenography, and virtual reality, giving rise to a visual syntax that combines analytical rigor and emotional impulse. His “contemporary skylines,” created strictly by hand, result from a balance between order and chaos, between geometric construction and instinctive gesture.

The relationship between space and color is the heart of his research: a constant dialectic between opposing forces—centripetal and centrifugal, analytical and synthetic—that generates a continuous visual vibration. His surfaces open like doors, streets, and windows to worlds that contradict and support each other at the same time, guiding the eye along infinite pathways.

From 2006 to today, Fornasetti has shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad, collaborating with galleries, museums, and curators of note. Venues that have hosted his works include Galleria Mucciaccia, Galleria Mario Giusti HQ in Milan, Virus Art Gallery, and Galleria Medina in Rome, as well as international projects curated by La Maison de La Petite Sara in the Republic of San Marino. Over the years he has participated in exhibitions such as Affordable Art Fair, Tiferno Comics, ArtExpo Arezzo, and initiatives curated by figures like Achille Bonito Oliva, Vincenzo Mollica, and Francesco Gallo Mazzeo.

An educated and curious artist, Fornasetti continues to question painting as a living language, in constant transformation. In his works memory and innovation, introspection and experimentation coexist, creating a visual universe in which geometry becomes emotion and space becomes narrative.
