In a highly realistic style, this drawing depicts a male figure wearing only a bondage mask on the face. This frontal nude highlights the musculature of his body, notably his arms. The artist renders the details with finesse while choosing to leave the drawing with an unfinished look. You can even discern some protruding veins on his muscles. A very erotic atmosphere emanates from this scene due to the man's pose and his attributes.
The pastel treatment lends a voluptuous and soft quality to the work.

Verssan finds in pastel a way to appropriate the body through plays of curves, hollows and fills, shadows and light by rubbing, blending and blowing the material onto the paper. The artist treats his subjects using monochromes but also plays with the color of the support in warm gray tones, revealing both softness and delicacy but also strength and virility.
