Two wall sculptures by Vanessa Bonino from Italy, titled Koi carps 3D, carved in wood and painted with acrylic, unique pieces (one 27x15x3 cm and one 22x22x3 cm), signed by hand, dated 2026, in excellent condition and shipped directly from the artist with an authenticity certificate.
Description from the seller
The package will contain 2 items, with the following dimensions:
Fish - 27 x 15 x 3 cm
Fish - 22 x 22 x 3 cm
This pair of wall sculptures reinterprets the traditional koi carp through geometric and three-dimensional abstraction. Both figures decompose the organic shape of the fish into overlapped wooden panels painted in different tones. The upper piece adopts a constructivist, deconstructed language, playing on a rough black base and white and red blocks. The lower carp features a more fluid and sinuous line, dominated by a bright red paired with neutral inserts. Together, the dialogue between the essential color palette and the overlapping levels creates a dynamic sense of movement and deep visual synthesis.
It will be shipped inside a solid protective case with an authenticity certificate.
Vanessa Bonino (Turin, 1992) is a contemporary artist whose current research focuses on the plastically expressive force of material sculpture. Trained in the cultural fervor of Turin, Bonino has evolved her eclectic style toward an original synthesis between ceramic tradition and digital languages.
Her latest productions attest to a profound experimentation with terracotta and glazed ceramics, where ancestral forms — such as the bull or the carp — are reinterpreted through low-poly geometries or expressionist shapes charged with dynamism. Her stylistic signature stands out for the masterful use of contrasting cold patinas and glassy glazes, capable of transforming earth into surfaces vibrant with light and color.
Addressing themes related to nature and the metamorphosis of matter, Bonino creates works that are at once solid and fluid, inviting the viewer to reflect on the boundary between the archaic and the future. Her ongoing ascent in the Italian contemporary art scene is confirmed by an ever more solid presence in private collections and dynamic exhibition contexts.
