Who is Monsieur Z?
Richard Zielenkiewicz, known by the pseudonym Monsieur Z, is a famous French illustrator and graphic designer. The son of an architect, he is passionate about 20th-century architecture, as well as the American Way of Life of the 1950s.
He works as an art director in advertising, then pursues work in the press. He creates several animated TV series such as Jet Groove and Ratz, broadcast on France 2 and on the children’s channel Gulli. He participates in the production of advertisements, on television or in magazines, in France and in other countries: L’Oréal, Air France, BMW, Swiss Delice coffee, Guess, Monoprix…
After going independent, Monsieur Z creates colorful, streamlined illustrations, inspired by design, architecture and the styles of the 1930s to 1970s. He has collaborated with many destinations such as St Tropez, Hyères, Chamonix, Cannes, Paris, Corsica, Toulon, the Côte d’Azur, and many others…!
