Chalice - Silverplated - Large Eucharistic chalice - 26 cm

Eucharistic chalice in silvered metal, made according to the traditional models of Italian liturgical goldsmithing.

Of considerable size and presence, it features a wide circular stepped base from which an elegant, shaped stem rises. The central oval knop is finely decorated with a succession of incised bands, moldings and stylized vegetal motifs.

The upper part terminates in a wide smooth cup, slightly flared, underscored at the base by a refined cordon motif.

The whole recalls the taste and proportions of historic chalices in the Italian ecclesiastical tradition, reinterpreted in a later era.
Good overall vintage condition, with signs of use, light tarnish, scratches and wear to the silvering consistent with age and use. Please study the photographs carefully, which are an integral part of the description.
