Handcrafted

Vintage necklace, composed of African Trade Beads (Trade Beads) in Murano glass and spacer beads made in Silver.
Beads of various shapes and sizes:
- Chevron beads or Rosette beads
- large satin-finish cobalt blue glass spherical beads
- blue disco beads
- spacer beads made in relief-worked Silver
Silver not hallmarked, but tested with acid and a testing stone: the red traces indicate silver (see photographic images, thank you)
Closure made in a very low-grade silver alloy or silver-plated metal.
Contemporary threading, done with nylon thread.

Vintage Patina
In good condition, signs of use and age.
Areas of Silver oxidation and Silver very darkened by time.
Noted:
- small chips and chipping on the surface of some beads
- one discoid bead visibly damaged
- contemporary threading loosened
(seen in the latest photographic images)
Any imperfections are part of use, time, artisanal craftsmanship, and the very nature of the materials.
