2003 Tenuta San Guido, Sassicaia - Bolgheri DOC - 1 Bottle (0.75L)

Decanter awarded a score of 95. Wine Enthusiast awarded an impressive 95. In some respects, the climate of 2003 is rather similar to that of 2001, except for the winter characterised by low temperatures and a spring characterised by low temperatures that delayed flowering. Instead, summer was, right from the start, very hot, with temperatures above normal. The lack of rainfall and the very dry climate have caused an advance of ripening and, for some grape varieties, also a slight over-maturation. The collection began at the end of August and ended at the end of September.
