Vase (2) - Earthenware

Earthenware bowl in archaic Greek style, early decades of the 20th century, inspired by Corinthian production and Greek black-figure pottery. The decoration depicts Heracles facing the Nemean Lion, a subject belonging to the cycle of the hero’s twelve labors. The surface features a light terracotta-colored background with brown-black decorations and ornamental motifs in an archaic taste. The bowl is characterized by two lateral handles and a low circular base. An archaeological-flavored decorative object, made as a historicist replica of models from ancient Greek ceramic art. Dimensions: 18 cm width × 13 cm height. Good overall condition, with normal surface signs compatible with age. Replica in ancient Greek style, not an archaeological find.

Globular lekythos in ceramic in ancient Greek style, early decades of the 20th century, inspired by Attic red-figure ceramics. Globular body, elongated neck, flared mouth and vertical handle. The main decoration depicts a winged female figure, identifiable by iconography as a mythological figure of Nike/Victory, set in an ornamental composition of classical taste. The decoration is executed in red-figure on a black background, accompanied by bands and vegetal and geometric motifs. The object constitutes a historicist modern production replica inspired by Attic ceramic models, with particular attention to the decorative rendering. Dimensions: 16 cm width × 25 cm height. Good overall condition, with normal surface signs compatible with age. Replica in ancient Greek style, not an archaeological artifact.
