With Smiling Beyond the Stars, SKE revisits the poetic universe of The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry through a composition that is decidedly contemporary, colorful, and pop.

Lying on a mineral planet, The Little Prince contemplates a smiling flower that symbolically replaces his famous rose. Around him unfolds a cosmic landscape populated by stars, planets, orbits, and numerous flowers with smiling faces, whose pop aesthetics evoke the floral and colorful universe associated with Takashi Murakami.

At the center of the composition, the phrase “all I had was a common rose” is crossed out to reveal “SMILING FLOWER”: a graphic détournement that makes Saint-Exupéry’s poetry dialogue with the codes of contemporary art and pop culture.

SKE preserves here the softness and contemplative dimension of The Little Prince, while transforming his universe with a much more intense palette: deep blue, acid colors, intentionally imperfect textures, and graphic treatment close to screen printing. A meeting between literature, pop art, illustration, and contemporary culture.

Your artwork is shipped rolled and protected in a tube.

Upon receipt, carefully remove it and lay it flat for 48 to 72 hours so it naturally regains its shape before framing.

ISO formats (A3, A2, A1…) are very easy to frame with standard frames available in hardware or home decor stores.

Personally, I use Leroy Merlin aluminum frames: simple, elegant, and economical, they showcase the works perfectly.

SKE is a French autodidact and all-around artist who grew up in the 80s/90s culture, inspiring a large portion of his artistic works.

He constantly explores new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stenciling, graffiti, urban installations, and digital art. His dynamic, expressive compositions, often double-meaning, blend the raw energy of street art with the visual impact of pop art.

After an exceptional year in 2025, SKE’s market value has risen notably. Winner of the first prize at the Urban Master contest (2023), then elected Revelation of the Year at the Color Jam Challenge (2025).
SKE was selected as the “Artist of the Month” by the Opulence gallery in October, and he also benefited from a feature in an American art magazine confirming his international recognition.

His works have already been exhibited in major venues in Europe, the United States, and Asia, strengthening his place on the contemporary art scene.
