Description :
Magnificent contemporary religious icon in Byzantine style depicting the Holy Family (the Virgin Mary, Saint Joseph and the Blessed Child Jesus).
This high-quality work has been entirely handmade using traditional, ancestral techniques of Eastern iconography. The painting uses the egg tempera technique (tempera) enhanced with delicate gold leaf, applied on a gessoed canvas mounted on a thick antique wood panel.
The back of the icon bears its official original certificate of authenticity written in four languages (English, French, German, Italian), as well as an official seal authorizing its export, attesting to its superior quality.
