Description from the seller
Ducati - 1098R - Troy Bayliss No.473 - 9,289 km - 2nd Hand - CORSE PERFORMANCE Mod. - 2009
Ducati 1098R Troy Bayliss Mod.2009, comes from a second-hand origin and has only 9,289 km on the clock. With German first registration. The vehicle is in a very beautiful collector’s condition and was the highlight of an exclusive Ducati collection. The machine stood out as an absolute jewel among the collection. It has been refined with very rare Ducati Performance and Ducati Corse parts. Money definitely no object. Also a highlight for us.
It naturally comes with all delivery documents, including the red case with the data plaque. All in the large red folder. As well as Termignoni titanium street exhaust with the original manifold system and the original 21 cover in white. A very rare opportunity to acquire such a dreamlike specimen.
This generation of the 2009 1098R Troy Bayliss series is not only interesting for collectors but also as an investment, as its price has steadily risen in recent years. It has matching frame and engine numbers, i.e., matching numbers.
This dream bike is accident-free and upright… in first paint.
The standard equipment of the 1098R stands out from all previous 1098 models in exclusivity hardly surpassed. It not only has the last long-stroke 1198cc R engine with incredible power delivery, but also the special R main frame, the Öhlins fork, the Öhlins TTX shock, the Öhlins steering damper, the forged CNC-milled and very light Marchesini wheels, the single-piece aluminum subframe, traction control, numerous visible carbon parts, especially in the single-seat rear area. But also carbon tank sides right/left, carbon mudguard, carbon RamAir ducts – covers, carbon timing belt cover.
Selected highlight parts:
Ducati Corse factory exhaust system extremely rare with carbon/titanium exhaust silencers - titanium Y-pipe and Inconell manifold system.
Ducati Corse pushrod adjustable
Ducati Performance magnesium clutch housing vented
Ducati Performance carbon/aluminium gas cap
Ducati Performance carbon swing arm protection
Ducati Performance carbon rear wheel cover to protect the Öhlins TTX
Ducati Performance seating cushion
Carbon air ducts, carbon chain guard and carbon kneepad
STM Evo SBK anti-hopping clutch in red, anodized, one of the best and most expensive on the market. With open aluminum clutch cover in black anodized.
MPL clutch slave cylinder
Performance Parts rear axle nut with key
The vehicle Ducati 1198R Troy Bayliss will be delivered exactly as shown in the pictures, with the installed Titan SBK racing exhaust system, without road approval. The original street exhaust system will be delivered as shown in the pictures.
The vehicle currently has TÜV valid until 09/2028.
It is currently receiving a new service from us, everything that needs to be done:
New timing belt - Shell 15w50 oil / new oil filter - spark plugs - battery - inspection, new tires
The bike has only a very small stone chip on the front fairing, see the blue arrow. It could be lightly repaired with Smart Repair. On the SBK titanium exhaust system above the carbon heat shield there are light scratches, see the blue arrow. And a small carbon defect that was present from the beginning on the left carbon side panel in the tank area. The three very inconspicuous marks are shown in three pictures with blue arrows.

First registration 07.2009

The service booklet is available, as shown in the pictures. Of course, we can add our service entry upon the buyer’s request. The vehicle is in a dreamlike, very well-kept condition. It has only been ridden on sunny days, and very carefully; otherwise it would not be in such fantastic condition. This is not a race-track vehicle.
Viewing by appointment possible. Pickup by the buyer or shipping by arrangement.
