Vase - Glass

Splendid and refined carafe/jug vase in authentic Murano artistic glass, dating from the mid-20th century (the entire Mid-Century Modern period).
The piece is characterized by an elegant, slender organic form with a ribbed body, a pronounced spout, and a finely worked hot-forged ring handle.
The work is accomplished with the famous "Sommerso" technique, which masterfully layers several strata of glass color: the base features a brilliant blue/turquoise hue that shines through the thickness of the transparent glass, then blends and culminates in a rich and intense violet/amethyst tone in the upper part.
A piece of extremely high visual impact and collecting value, attributed to the craftsmanship of historic Murano glassworks on the island (Flavio Poli / Seguso Vetri d'Arte style).
