Set of four Murano glass vases in Scavo style, featuring opaque blue to violet surfaces, about 12 cm high, 8 cm wide and 8 cm deep, weighing 180 g in total, dating to 1940–1950, and in good used condition with age-related marks.
Description from the seller
Description
Lot composed of three small vases in artistic glass in Scavo style, probably made in Murano, Italy.
The 4 pieces present different decorative shapes, characterized by intense blue and purplish tones and by the typical opaque and earthy surface of the Scavo technique, which gives the glass a particular antique and “archaeological” appearance.
The surfaces have the characteristic deliberately irregular and “corroded” effect typical of this processing.
Height: about 12 cm each.
Conditions: good vintage condition, with normal signs and surface variations consistent with the particular Scavo finish.
It is advisable to carefully observe the photographs, which are an integral part of the description.
An interesting decorative lot for collectors, suitable for enthusiasts of Italian art glass and Scavo techniques.
The bottom of the vases bears the characteristic pontil mark, a feature compatible with artisanal production in blown glass.
