Description from the seller
Vintage silver-gilt (900) brooch in the shape of a rose, handcrafted filigree work, circa 1968
Beautiful vintage brooch in sterling silver 900 gilded (vermeil), finely handmade with the traditional and meticulous filigree technique.
The design captures the perfect essence of the naturalistic style of the late 1960s, reinterpreting with extraordinary lightness and an "lace effect" the three-dimensional form of an open rose accompanied by sinuous leaves. A jewel with romantic and timeless charm, fully embodying the standards of classical and formal elegance.
On the back are clearly visible the official hallmarks impressed on a circular setting: the title of silver 900 and the factory mark 15 CE, which historically attributes its manufacture to the prestigious Luigi De Maria Marcianise & Figli (Caserta, Italy), datable between 1968 and 1969.
Excellent vintage condition, it shows a slight and fascinating patina of time that attests to its authenticity. Pin closure perfectly functioning.
