A vintage silver women’s bracelet from Sweden, 18–18.5 cm large size, weighing 22 g, with a broad articulated floral and granulated design, a spring-ring clasp with safety chain, and no laboratory report.
Description from the seller
Vintage silver bracelet featuring an exceptionally detailed floral and granulated design, dating to the 20th century. The bracelet is constructed as a broad, flexible band composed of numerous interconnected decorative elements, creating a highly textured appearance with considerable depth. The combination of individually formed flowers, twisted wire borders, small bead-like details and an oxidised background gives the bracelet a distinctive traditional character.
Certificate included (digitally) and paper upon request
The bracelet is made from silver and originates from Sweden. It is listed as a women's bracelet and falls within the Large size category, approximately 18–18.5 cm. Its relatively broad construction gives it considerably more visual presence than a conventional chain bracelet, making it particularly suitable as a standalone statement piece.
The most prominent decorative feature is the extensive floral ornamentation covering almost the entire visible surface. Numerous small silver flowers are arranged in closely spaced rows along the bracelet. Each flower consists of individually defined petals surrounding a raised central bead, creating a repeating three-dimensional pattern. The flowers are not simply engraved into a flat surface but stand proud of the underlying structure, producing substantial texture and shadow.
Between and underneath the floral elements is an intricate framework of silver wire and interconnected components. Twisted or rope-style silver borders run along the sides of the bracelet and frame the central decoration. Smaller bead-like silver elements project around the outer edges, creating an additional ornamental border. The result is a densely decorated piece in which very little of the underlying construction remains visually plain.
The recessed areas have developed or retained a darker appearance, creating contrast against the brighter raised silver details. This contrast makes the individual flowers, twisted borders and granulated elements considerably more visible. The combination of polished highlights and darker recessed areas is particularly effective on jewellery with this level of relief decoration.
The bracelet is flexible rather than being constructed as a rigid bangle. The individual sections are articulated so that the bracelet can follow the shape of the wrist while retaining the appearance of a continuous decorative band. This construction combines the substantial visual appearance of a wide bracelet with the flexibility of linked jewellery.
A traditional spring-ring style clasp is visible at one end, accompanied by an additional safety chain. The safety chain provides a secondary connection between the ends of the bracelet and is a practical feature frequently encountered on vintage jewellery. Both the clasp and safety-chain arrangement form part of the character and construction of the piece.
The design displays influences commonly associated with traditional European and Scandinavian silver jewellery, particularly jewellery incorporating filigree, granulation, applied floral decoration and twisted-wire ornamentation. No specific maker or designer attribution is made unless supported by the hallmarks visible on the object.
There are no gemstones incorporated into the bracelet. Its decorative effect is produced entirely through silverwork, including the applied flowers, raised beads, twisted wire, articulated construction and contrasting surface finish. This makes the craftsmanship and metalwork the central feature of the piece.
The bracelet is particularly suitable for collectors interested in vintage silver jewellery, Scandinavian jewellery, Swedish silver, floral silver jewellery and traditional handcrafted metalwork. The dense ornamentation also gives it a somewhat folk-inspired or traditional appearance, while remaining wearable as a decorative silver bracelet.

The bracelet presents well overall and retains considerable detail throughout the floral decoration. As expected with previously owned vintage silver jewellery, there may be minor scratches, surface marks, tarnish, oxidation and other traces of age and use. Darker areas are particularly visible within the recessed sections of the decoration and contribute to the contrast of the design.
Because of the complexity of the construction, small differences between individual decorative elements may be present. These should be considered in the context of a vintage piece featuring numerous individual silver components rather than modern mass-produced jewellery with completely uniform surfaces.
The photographs form an important part of the description and should be examined carefully. They provide the best representation of the condition of the individual flowers, borders, articulated sections, clasp, safety chain and overall silver surface. Due to the reflective nature of silver, some apparent variations in colour may be caused by lighting and reflections during photography.
This piece may be of particular interest to buyers searching for vintage Swedish silver jewellery, Scandinavian silver bracelet, antique-style silver bracelet, floral silver bracelet, filigree bracelet, granulated silver jewellery, traditional silver jewellery, wide silver bracelet, ornate silver bracelet, women's silver jewellery, Scandinavian jewellery, Nordic silver jewellery, vintage statement bracelet, articulated silver bracelet, flower bracelet, handcrafted silver jewellery, European silver jewellery, collectible silver bracelet and 20th-century silver jewellery.
The extensive floral decoration gives the bracelet a very different character from a conventional curb, Figaro or chain-link bracelet. Viewed from a distance it forms a broad textured band, while closer inspection reveals the numerous individual flowers and small metalwork details. This combination makes the bracelet suitable both for wearing and for inclusion in a collection focused on traditional silver craftsmanship.
The bracelet will be carefully packaged to protect the raised floral elements, articulated construction, clasp and safety chain during transportation. It will be shipped securely with tracking and insurance where available.
