For sale is this rare original Rimowa travel trunk suitcase (Überseekoffer) from the 1950s in nice, fully functional condition.

It was among the very first generation of Rimowa suitcases which featured the iconic Rimowa grooves.
Rimowa introduced its distinctive groove design in 1950, inspired by the outer aluminum skin of early aircraft. The grooves were developed under Richard Morszeck, son of the company’s founder, to reinforce the lightweight aluminum shell. This engineering choice formed the cornerstone for the famous Rimowa hallmark we are familiar with today.
