Leonetto Cappiello - Cioccolato Venchi Torino – manifesto pubblicitario - 1970s

Fascinating advertising manifesto dedicated to the famous Venchi chocolate from Turin.

Note: This is a later edition probably from the 1970s.

The subject was conceived in 1923 by the great Italian poster artist Leonetto Cappiello, undisputed master of Twentieth Century advertising graphics.

The composition features two lively theatrical figures swept up in a spectacular cascade of Venchi packages and colorful chocolates. The strong contrast between the dark background, the red tones, and the large yellow lettering makes the image instantly recognizable and of notable decorative impact.

At the bottom there is the historic inscription “Soc. An. S. Venchi & C. Torino”, while along the margins there are the edition’s typographic indications. Period offset printing, not digital, characterized by vivid colors and by an iconic graphic tied to the great Italian advertising tradition.

A copy preserved in generally good condition, with slight waviness and normal signs of aging visible in the photographs. Ideal for collectors of advertising posters, Italian graphic design, chocolate, Turin’s industrial history, and works inspired by Art Deco.
