In Portrait #133 I build a female figure with great presence using geometric shapes, defined contours and wide areas of color. The hat becomes one of the main elements of the composition, adding elegance and reinforcing the character's personality.

I work on the face from a neocubist and hard-edge structure, dividing it into planes of blue, cream, green and coral. The asymmetrical gaze, circular earrings and the contrasts between yellow, red, black and blue create a balance between serenity, strength and mystery.

This work is part of my series The 1000 Faces, a project consisting of a thousand original, numbered, and irreproducible portraits. In each painting I explore a different identity through geometric fragmentation, color and the simplification of forms.

To guarantee safe transport, I ship the canvas carefully protected and rolled inside a sturdy tube. The work is delivered without a frame and must be remounted by the buyer.

ARTISTIC SERIES: THE 1000 FACEs

The 1000 Faces is an evolving artistic project consisting of a thousand original portraits, numbered and completely different from one another. Through this series I explore human identity and the multiple ways in which a face can express character, emotions, experiences and inner states.

Each character arises from a particular combination of lines, geometric shapes and color relationships. Although all works share a recognizable visual language, each face has its own composition, personality and color balance. No two paintings are the same within the collection.

The fragmentation of the face is not intended to conceal identity, but to show it from different perspectives. The color planes represent the different facets that can coexist within the same person: strength and fragility, serenity and tension, reality and imagination.

My goal is for each work to function independently and, at the same time, to be part of a much broader universe. When the series is complete, the thousand portraits will build a large visual archive dedicated to diversity, individuality and the complexity of the human being.

Portrait #133 occupies a unique place within this journey and will not be reproduced as another original work from the series.
