In Portrait #134 I build a female figure with a serene expression through a composition of geometric shapes, defined lines, and large color fields. The stepped structure of the hair gives an architectural character to the face and becomes one of the most recognizable elements of the work.

I work the figure with a neocubist and hard-edge language, dividing the face into pink, green and cream planes. The asymmetric earrings, the blue gaze, and the geometric neck reinforce the personality of the character. The background blends green, orange and cream, while the clothing introduces deep blue, burgundy and coral.

The relationship between straight and curved forms creates a balanced composition, but deliberately asymmetrical. I seek for the face to convey calm and firmness, letting each viewer imagine the story and identity of the figure depicted.

This work is part of my series The 1000 Faces, a project consisting of one thousand original, numbered, and unrepeatable portraits. In each painting I explore a different identity through geometric fragmentation, color, and the simplification of forms.

To ensure safe transport, I ship the canvas carefully protected and rolled inside a sturdy tube. The work is delivered unstretched.

ARTISTIC SERIES: THE 1000 FACES

The 1000 Faces is an evolving artistic project made up of one thousand original portraits, numbered and completely different from each other. Through this series I explore human identity and the multiple ways a face can express character, emotions, experiences and inner states.

Each character arises from a particular combination of lines, geometric shapes and color relationships. Although all works share a recognizable visual language, each face has its own composition, personality and color balance. No two paintings are the same within the collection.

The fragmentation of the face is not intended to hide identity, but to reveal it from different perspectives. The color planes represent the different facets that can coexist within the same person: strength and fragility, serenity and tension, reality and imagination.

My objective is for each work to function independently and, at the same time, to be part of a much broader universe. When the series is complete, the thousand portraits will build a large visual archive dedicated to diversity, individuality and the complexity of the human being.

Portrait #134 occupies a unique place within this journey and will not be reproduced as another original work from the series.
