Muonionalusta meteorite XXL HQ Swedish Muonionalusta - Height: 8.8 cm - Width: 7.7 cm - 504 g

100% authentic Muonionalusta iron meteorite treated with nano anti-rust coating.

The Muonionalusta is an iconic, rare iron meteorite that fell in northern Sweden about 1 million years ago. Discovered in 1906, it is famous for its age of more than 4.5 billion years and the beautiful crystal structures (Widmanstätten pattern) that become visible when the iron is polished and etched.

Key Features: Fine octahedrite (IVA) consisting of iron, nickel and cobalt. Note: It is one of the few meteorites that contains the mineral stishovite (a rare form of quartz).

The unique lattice pattern (Widmanstätten pattern) is the result of the extremely slow cooling of the core of a former planetoid

As an experienced meteorite collector I guarantee the authenticity of all meteorites I offer.
