About the artist
André Saraiva (born Uppsala, Sweden, 1971) grew up in Paris and started tagging
in the 1980s. In 1986 he drew the first Mr. A, a top-hatted figure with a
circle and cross face, since repeated on walls worldwide. He co-founded Le
Baron and the Hôtel Amour, and took part in Art in the Streets at MOCA Los
Angeles in 2011.
