the celebrated pastoral drama Aminta, favola boscareccia, written by the Italian Renaissance master Torquato Tasso. This elegant volume was printed in its original Italian language in Glasgow, Scotland, in 1753 by the famous printers Robert and Andrew Foulis, renowned for their exquisite typography and high-quality classical publications during the Scottish Enlightenment.
74 pages of main text (plus 2 preliminary title pages)
Dimensions: Approx. 16.5 cm x 11 cm
The book is in good overall condition. The paper is crisp, firm, and the text remains beautifully sharp and clean. There is a neat vintage ownership signature written in ink on the lower half of the title page, dated July 24, 1974. Please note: This copy does not include the original engraved plates (illustrations) that accompanied some copies of this run. This absence has been heavily factored into the listing price.
