This artwork is from the series "Homage to Yves Klein"
Yves Klein was, together with Andy Warhol and Jeff Koons, one of the co-founders of Pop Art.
His unforgettable "Blue Quadrat" with the most beautiful and intense blue I have ever seen.
All objects have been painstakingly handcrafted by me.
Parts show traces of handwork, which underscores the uniqueness of each object.
Hand signed
Ultramarine blue pigments, produced in an elaborate mixture, absorb light.
The darker the room, the more intensely the blue glows because it absorbs ambient light.
The elephant is about 20 x 15 x 10 cm, in matte ultramarine blue on a black base.
