Description from the seller
Power, finesse, elegance are the words that come immediately to mind at first tasting.
The robe is an intense purple with deep reflections.
The approach is marked by notes of moka, cassis, cacao, then giving way to a great harmony on the palate, imbued with very elegant tannins, all in finesse.
The finish is velvety, powerful and creamy!
Assemblage
– Cabernet Sauvignon 75%,
– Merlot 5%,
– Pinot Noir 5%,
– Tannat 4%,
– Cabernet Franc 2%
– Petit Verdot 2%,
– Rare varieties 7%: Nielluccio, Montepulciano (Italy), Saperavi (Georgia), Carménère (Chile), Tempranillo (Spain), Abouriou (France).
Conditions climatiques
The year is mainly marked by a strong drought with 30% less water than average. In retrospect, we had a dry autumn, a not very cold winter, small regular rains throughout spring, ending with an exceedingly dry summer with only 20 mm of water in July and August!
Thanks to the microclimate and the care given to the vines by our teams, the berries benefited from slow and healthy ripening, despite the drought and the heatwave that arrived a week before harvest.
