Saint-Simon; text edited and annotated by Gonzague Truc — Mémoires – Bibliothèque de la Pléiade – 6 volumes of 7, published by Gallimard in French, hardcover, excellent condition, covering 1691–1723 (except volume II) with genealogical tables.
Description from the seller
Set of 6 volumes out of 7 constituting this edition: volumes I, III, IV, V, VI and VII. Volume II is missing.
The volumes cover the years 1691 to 1723, with the exception of the period corresponding to volume II.
Printed on Bolloré bible-paper, soft bindings in navy blue leather, the spine richly ornate with gold fillets and gold titles.
The six volumes are in remarkable condition, nearly new: bindings particularly fresh, gilding bright, very clean edges, and interiors perfectly preserved.
The volumes retain their illustrated jackets and transparent rhodoids, also in very good general condition, with only very light age-related markings.
The set is accompanied by the Genealogical Tables of the Mémoires de Saint-Simon, with the large folding boards dedicated especially to the families of Bourbon, Condé, Conti, Guise, Lorraine, Rohan, etc.
Printings from the 1960s. Volume VII includes the general index of the Mémoires by Colette Albert-Samuel.
A particularly fresh and very well-preserved set for this edition of La Pléiade.
