Description from the seller
Fulgurite 2 pieces! large + medium – 55 mm – Naturally formed by lightning
A remarkable and impressive piece of fulgurite, a rare natural formation that occurs when a lightning strike passes through sand or other loose sediment. The extreme heat of the lightning melts the material in a fraction of a second, after which it cools and solidifies into a unique, tubular structure.
This specimen has a length of 55 mm and 43 mm, and a width and depth of 25 × 25 mm. The natural, rugged structure makes each fulgurite piece unique.
