AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
The Campo del Cielo meteorite arrived on Earth about 4,500 years ago, the largest known shower of metallic meteorites, in present-day Argentina. It was used by pre-Columbian peoples to make metal utensils and caused genuine astonishment among the Spanish conquistadors when they arrived in the Americas.
In this lot we present an authentic Campo del Cielo metallic meteorite, of ideal size for collectors, in perfect condition, and with a very aesthetically triangular shape that also allows it to stand upright on its own in an ideal position.
Metallic meteorites like this come from the cores of large asteroids that shattered due to multiple impacts in the process of the formation of the solar system as we know it today. An excellent opportunity to add this wonder of the universe to your collection.
