Wiegman, Gerard
Gerard (Gerardus) Wiegman was born on 16 September 1875 in Delfshaven (Rotterdam) and died on 28 June 1964 in Schiedam.

Wiegman studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rotterdam. Later he himself was a teacher of Jan Baars and Albert Hendrik van Eynsbergen.

Gerard was both a draughtsman and a painter, and he is especially known for river landscapes, still lifes, and urban and harbor scenes.

Wiegman was a member of the Rotterdam Artists' Society.

Wiegman volgde een opleiding aan de Academie voor Beeldende Kunsten in Rotterdam. Later was hij zelf weer leraar van Jan Baars en Albert Hendrik van Eynsbergen.

Gerard was zowel tekenaar als kunstschilder en van hem zijn vooral (rivier)landschappen, stillevens en stads- en havengezichten bekend.

Wiegman was lid van de Rotterdamse Kunstenaars-Sociëteit.
