THE ARTIST:

Former Board Member of the Royal Spanish Photographic Society, Madrid-based Vietnamese Spanish artist Viet Ha Tran is a fine art photographer and multi-disciplinary artist whose name is officially listed in the art market Artprice (France) since 2015 and published in >100 newspapers and art magazines around the world. She has been commissioned by Vogue Italia and Louis Vuitton Paris.

Her photographs have been featured on Expansión, El Economista, Vogue Italia, Vanity Fair France, The Times of India, The Hindu, Vietnam News, at Saatchi Gallery London, and were auctioned by Christie’s Hong Kong for charity.

VIet Ha's works have appeared in physical public auctions in Spain alongside works by Picasso, Salvador Dalí, Joan Miró, Banksy and Andy Warhol.

Viet Ha was a Jury member of IE Foundation Prizes in the Humanities at the prestigious IE University (Madrid, Spain) from 2016-2020. She also worked as Exhibition Manager and Curator for several exhibitions at IE University during this period. In addition, in 2015, some of her photographs were published in the academic literature book published by Universidad de las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Spain). In 2017, she co-authored the book (in Spanish) "Female Entrepreneurs: a way to be in this world" (Empresarias: una manera de estar en el mundo) talking about the challenges of the early days of her artist career. Most recently in 2023, Viet Ha is an art writer for IE Insight, the knowledge hub of the prestigious IE University (Spain)

Before becoming an artist, she worked in education, banking, market intelligence, business development and government relations in Japan, Singapore, Vietnam and Spain for over 15 years. In 2020 she left the corporate world to pursue her artistic dreams as a full time career.

Viet Ha was nominated in the top 200 Influential Vietnam Global Leaders 2019 (appointed by the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Vietnam Embassy in Spain).

ABOUT HER WORK:

“Highly inspired by a mixture of philosophy, classic literature, European classic paintings and Persian mystic poetry, Viet Ha’s works evoke oil paintings by the Old Masters. Thoughtful and lyrical, her photographs have a feeling of being freshly minted and timeless at the same time.”
– Widewalls, Switzerland –

“With an air of classic paintings, Viet Ha’s pictures remind us of works by Caravaggio, the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood as well as some scenes by James Tissot. Her photographs have the power to push viewers into a daydream where reality conveys with the artist’s inner world.”

– The Fashion Globe Magazine, Paris –
