Sweet and beautifully painted cat- and dog-portrait by the Dutch-Danish artist Borgen Lindhardt, inspired by the work of Henriëtte Ronner Knip. Special for World Animal Day.

Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts Maastricht (1996). Uses Borgen Lindhardt as signature name and is known for her “kimono-series”, inspired by the work of G.H. Breitner. Creates oil paintings where old masters, sometimes in combination with personal elements (cat, painting supplies and figures and animals), form a new spectacle. Her style is characterized by a visible thick brushstroke. Ranging from detailed and imaginative work to loose, sketchy paintings.
