Description from the seller
Fascinating manifesto taken from the cover of “Il Pugno nell’Occhio,” an educational magazine of commercial advertising published in Milan.
The composition depicts an elegant red devilish character grappling with a white, unruly horse. The black background and the strong color contrast give the image an ironic, theatrical character with notable decorative impact.
The graphic reproduces issue 12, year III, published in December 1934. In the image appear the indications “Creazione I.P.N.O. Milano” and “Consulenza Maga,” in addition to the monogram “M.” visible on the right side.
An interesting testament to the history of Italian advertising, ideal for poster collectors, vintage graphics, satirical illustration, and advertising design.
The specimen shows waviness and normal signs compatible with age and preservation, clearly visible in the photographs.
Note: this is a later edition, probably from the 1970s.
