About the work:
The artist's works primarily feature men, captured in their intimacy, vulnerability or contradictions. Through them, she addresses certain masculine taboos and questions societal injunctions.
The artist creates and cuts her own stencils. She recovers old magazines to use their paper for collage. Each work is unique because of this technique. The background and some details are painted in acrylic paint and/or oil. Nothing is digital.
About the artist:
Born in 1986 in La Louvière (Belgium), G. Carta lives and creates today in France.
