Description from the seller
An extraordinary poster dedicated to Italian aviation and to the celebrations of “Il Giorno dell’Ala,” one of the most fascinating examples of aeronautical graphic art inspired by the futurist aesthetic of the interwar period.
Note: This is a later edition, probably from the 1970s.
The composition strikes with strong visual dynamism, dominated by the large stylized wing crossing the scene and by the main aircraft, symbol of speed, progress, and the conquest of the skies.
Drawn by Maga, one of the most important Italian illustrators and poster designers of the twentieth century, the poster perfectly represents the enthusiasm for flight and technological innovation that characterized the era. The green and black tones, together with the essential lines and the powerful graphic synthesis, give the work a strong decorative and collectible impact.
