Description from the seller
Bulgarian Icon of the Mother of God Eleusa (in Greek Ἐλεοῦσα) means "of tenderness" or "of compassion", painted by hand in the 1970s–1980s.
Reinterpretation of an ancient medieval icon, carried out in tempera on canvas affixed to a wooden panel, as indicated by the original certificate on the back.
The chromatic range is impressive, with a large golden halo and faces intensely expressive, rooted in the traditional gesture of tenderness.
On the back, certification from a Bulgarian iconographic laboratory and indications on the execution technique.
Good general condition. Measures 31x22 cm.
Proper packaging and fast shipping.
