Elegant vintage wall-mounted coat rack in a Thonet design, with five large curved hooks made of beechwood in a warm, dark brown tone. On the rear wooden rod there is a stamped mark visible: “MADE IN RUMANIA”.

From the first half of the 20th century, Thonet-Mundus produced a lot of work in Romania, marked with this spelling that was common at the time in English. This continued until the middle of the second half, when gradually 'Rumania' was more often written as 'Romania'.

This graceful coat rack, in excellent condition with no notable damage and with the original wall hooks, is carefully packed and shipped insured, incl. Track & Trace.

Elegante vintage wandkapstok naar een ontwerp van Thonet, met vijf grote gebogen haken van beukenhout in een warme, donkerbruine toon. Op de achterste houten stang is een ingeslagen aanduiding zichtbaar: “MADE IN RUMANIA”. 

Vanaf de eerste helft van de 20ste eeuw produceerde Thonet-Mundus veel werk in Roemenië, gemerkt met deze destijds gangbare Engelse schrijfwijze. Dit bleef zo tot het midden van de tweede helft toen geleidelijk aan 'Rumania' steeds vaker als 'Romania' werd geschreven. 

Deze sierlijke kapstok, in een prima staat zonder noemenswaardige beschadigingen en in het bezit van de originele wandhaken, wordt met zorg verpakt en verzekerd verzonden, incl. Track & Trace.
