The bowl is made of vibrant deep blue glass and stands out for a rich decoration in applied silver on the outer surface, in relief.

This continuous decor features a procession of stylized animal figures, including sheep, a figure reminiscent of a duck or goose, a long-necked dog (perhaps a greyhound), and a cat with an elevated tail.
