Hand fan - silk organza - Evening Liberty-style fan

Elegant Liberty Evening Fan in Silk Gauze and Hand-Painted Wood – Late 1800s / Early 1900s
Splendid and rare folding evening fan from the Belle Époque period (late 19th - early 20th century), of refined Italian artisanal craftsmanship.
The Page: Made of precious beige/ivory semi-transparent silk gauze or organza, creating a fascinating visual lightness. It is entirely hand-painted with a delicate asymmetric floral motif in Liberty style, depicting anemones or poppies in shades of pink, red and violet.
Under the main flower, finely disguised among the foliage, is the monogram painted "DP". The initials belong to the noble lady owner of the object, testament to a prestigious personalized commission of the era (family provenance).
The frame and the internal wooden ribs are a masterpiece of micro-painting. They are entirely hand-decorated with relief material enamels: small golden geometric motifs alternate with glossy pink confectioner’s drops that simulate the effect of gems applied (trompe-l'œil).
The lower pivot is crowned by its original brass ring, used at the time by ladies to attach the accessory to ballroom chains or wrist ribbons.

The item is presented in excellent vintage/antique condition. The silk preserves its splendid transparency and pleating, and the delicate raised decorations on the ribs are well preserved.
