Early, large-format, colorful paper work by Peter Robert Keil (born 1942 in Züllichau/Pomerania). Acrylic on paper, bottom right signed: P. Keil and dated (19)67. Framed behind a passe-partout, attractively glazed in a gold-colored hardwood frame. Dimensions of the artwork: height approx. 62 cm, width approx. 47 cm. Dimensions with frame: height approx. 75 cm, width approx. 60 cm, depth approx. 3 cm.
The painter and sculptor Peter Robert Keil was born on August 6, 1942 in Züllichau, Pomerania. After beginning training as an art Locksmith in 1956, he studied from 1959 to 1961 at the University of the Arts in Berlin. He maintained contact with other well-known artists such as Georg Baselitz and Markus Lüpertz. From the early 1960s he lived and worked in various cities such as Paris, London, Berlin and in the USA as well as on Mallorca. During his Spanish period he also met Joan Miró several times in his studio. All these experiences find their way into his extensive oeuvre and testify to corresponding versatility. He has been and remains active in various areas of the visual arts. Currently, Peter Robert Keil lives and works again in the USA.
