Gausseron, in a late nineteenth century typographic layout, good condition.

Beautiful deluxe illustrated edition of this famous poem by Oliver Wendell Holmes, in a French translation by B.-H. Gausseron.
Numbered copy no. 564 of 800 copies, as stated on the page of justification for the edition.
The work is illustrated notably by George Wharton Edwards and F. Hopkinson Smith, with a portrait in the frontispiece and 21 plates hors texte. The pages are mounted on tabs, with a layout and typographic ornaments particularly careful, characteristic of the bibliophilic productions of the late 19th century.
Publisher's half ivory vellum binding and gray decorated boards, with gilt head.
