V037 — Collection of 7 plates “Ristorante del Buon Ricordo” in hand-painted ceramic - Solimene, Vietri – 1973-1987

Description:

Collection consisting of 7 plates belonging to the famous tradition of the “Buon Ricordo” Plates, made in Italian ceramic and hand-decorated for different restaurants. Each piece graphically depicts the gastronomic specialty associated with the venue, with the restaurant name and location painted on the front.

The collection includes:

1. Rosteria Luciano – Bologna
Plate dedicated to Bologna, decorated with a view of the Two Towers and a city subject. Back marked “Ceramica Artistica Solimene, Vietri”.
2. Ristorante Palma – Alassio
“Zimino di cozze e vongole”, with marine decoration depicting the seafood specialty and the coastal landscape. Back marked “C.A.S. Vietri Italy”.
3. Ristorante Palma – Alassio
“Il sommelier consiglia – Rossese, veleno per astemi”, decorated with grape clusters and a bottle. Back marked “C.A.S. Vietri Italy”. Example dating to 1973–1984.
4. Ristorante Da “Benedetta” – Barghe (Brescia)
“Brasato di vitello all’arancia”, with a lively representation of the specialty. Back marked “Ceramica Vietri Mare – F.lli Solimene” and dated 1987.
5. Ristorante 12 Apostoli – Verona
“Pastissada de Caval”, traditional Veronese specialty, depicted with a horse and rider. Ceramica Solimene, Vietri; subject documented in the period 1973–1984.
