Doux paysage à l'huile sur toile où l'on voit un paysage de village alsacien réalisé par René Vogelweith (1881-1950).

Provenance: Augustin Memin's studio, pupil of the artist.
Format: 27 x 35 cm
State: Good condition. Yellowed varnish
Paul René Vogelweith was a French painter born January 27, 1881 in Guebwiller and died January 7, 1950 in Strasbourg.
Primarily active in Alsace, he is notably listed in Charles Lotz's reference work on Alsatian painters. His oeuvre mainly comprises oil paintings and watercolors depicting urban and rural landscapes.
He has extensively illustrated scenes of Alsatian villages, the Strasbourg Cathedral, as well as the old quarters of Paris such as Montmartre.
