Description from the seller
Magnificent and exclusive French porcelain tibor (Limoges/Paris style), manufactured in France during the transition from the Art Nouveau period (c. 1900 - 1920), under the strong influence of the Japonisme movement in Europe.
This is a molded and hand-painted porcelain piece, with reliefs and gold details, featuring refined traditional Japanese scenes with geishas, pagodas and musical instruments, enhanced with subtle strokes in detailing and delicate gold filigree and relief motifs.
It is finished with elegant profiles in a striking ox-red tone. It retains its original matching lid.
It shows natural wear of the gold on the upper handle due to use and age, while the rest of the enamels and gilding are in excellent condition.
Numbered with the "5" on the base.
Difficult-to-find piece, highly decorative and of great quality.
Condition: Excellent overall preservation, with wear consistent with age only on the lid handle.

Total height: 37 cm
Base diameter: 14 cm
Mouth diameter: 11 cm
Widest part: 22 cm
Shipping: Professional, protected and guaranteed to preserve the integrity of the piece.
