Olena Rybalchenko - The Old Pier

The Old Pier
At the edge of the sea stood an old house and a pier that had watched countless boats leave and return. Sailors said the place remembered every voyage. On stormy days, when the waves grew restless, empty boats would rock near the shore as if waiting for someone. Far beyond them, white sails appeared on the horizon — perhaps returning home, perhaps beginning another journey. And the old pier remained, keeping the stories and secrets of everyone who had ever crossed it.
